Padgett Addresses the Georgia House of Representatives
Beverly Padgett, current State of Georgia Rick Perkins Award winner for excellence in instruction, recently addressed the Georgia House of Representatives and met with Governor Sonny Perdue. Padgett met with several legislators and the Governor to discuss the economic impact of technical colleges on the state. She received proclamations from the House of Representatives, the State Senate, and the governor for her contributions to the technical college system. Padgett is the Director of the Service Industry Academy at Coosa Valley Technical College, a division of Economic Development. She has served as Director for 6 years.
